Jeffrey Court Renovation Challenge- Week 4

To my surprise folks, we are running on track! I don’t know how it happened but give me a deadline and I’m on it. I’ve found out that I work really well under pressure and tedious timelines much to my thinking that I don’t. Who would have thought.

Week 3 was a little slow on any improvement since gutting the bathroom. We have yet to run into a major hold up in this renovation which is pretty darn remarkable so I took the week to pick tile, a vanity, a mirror and the other things that make a bathroom homey.

Here’s a reminder of what the gut job looks like.

First of all I got to choose some AMAZING Tile provided by Jeffrey Court. Believe me when I say this was the hardest part of the whole design process. They have too many really fantastic options to choose from. I could have gone a million different ways with this bathroom reno.

I ended up choosing the Riverfall Basalt Mosaic Tile for the Shower and the back splash behind the vanity.

For the floor I chose Statuary Path Porcelain Hexagon Tile. These guys are 10″ x 20″ and they are gorgeous.

After picking the tile for the bathroom I knew I wanted to go for more of a Scandinavian/mid century modern/minimalist look.

  • We chose this very simple tub from the Home Depot.

  • Still looking for the perfect mirror. I think Gold?

  • I found these lights which I’m drooling over.

  • We are definitely doing a glass sliding door instead of a shower curtain. I chose a frame less door with Matte Black Hardware:))))

  • The vanity I found at my own shop. It’s a dresser that I’m re-working to make into my dream vanity. It was really difficult to find a vanity that was make from solid wood that didn’t cost an arm and a leg, therefore I am turning this one into my dream vanity.

I’m going to remove the legs on this, replace them with hair pin legs, sand it down and stain it and then I ordered a new sink for the top. Just wait for it! It looks amazing in my head.

I am still playing with faucets and shower fixtures but I’m thinking something along these lines. I think the gold will pop against the shower tile.

And last but not least here was my first inspiration board.

And here was my combo after I started getting a few things.

Alright! Enough talk and more work. I have to install all of this now:) I’ll see you next week at week 5 when I show you some progress photos and share with you some of the hold ups in this whole process. Until then have a great week friends!!! And be sure to vote here.
