I am always looking for a way to dress up my walls easily and it’s always a task but at least it’s a fun one. I like to switch out my wall art pretty frequently too so I was trying think of a new way to decorate my walls for the different seasons without spending a ton of money.
Introducing wall decals from Wallternatives. I have used these in the past in my daughters inspirational wall quoted room and it turned out wonderfully. I attached those directly on the wall like the directions recommended.
However I wanted something a little different for my main living area. I decided to frame the decals on a removable backing, that way I can change the decals out with the season if I choose. Genius right! These are the decals that I chose. Some are seasonal and some were just too cute to pass up I just had to get them.
I had old frames sitting around that I collected from yard sales and thrift shops. (When I see a good frame for a good price, I buy it! We all know how expensive they can be in a retail store.) Keep in mind, if you don’t like the color of the frame, you spray paint it folks. Easy as pie!
Now what to attach the decals onto? Simple. Use the backing that is already in the frame and either spray paint it one color or cover it with paper. Now you are ready to attach the decal.
I then took the decal off of the paper it came on and centered it on my backing.
And one more. This one was a decal which I placed on a cork board covered with decorative scrap booking paper. I then used scrap booking accessories, like borders and stickers to accent the decal. I modge podged over the whole thing two times and then added some silver nail studs at the corners for a little pizzaz! I can hang this on the wall, set it up against something or even use it a decorative tray.
I love putting a new twist on things while being creative. This is a great way to have interchangeable wall art!!
Have a great weekend everyone!!! XO – Amy
