It’s that time of year everyone. The cold air is slowly creeping in and the leaves are starting to change. September is half way done which means I need to get my tush moving on getting my fall porch together.
In keeping with my forever going theme of up-cycling, I have decided to decorate my porch this year with things that grow from the earth only. Mums, kale, pumpkins, corn shocks and grasses to name a few. I re-used what planters I had sitting around to accent the plants and pumpkins.
It took some arranging, then re-arranging, then standing out in the street and staring at my house, then a neighbor’s two cents until I finally liked the way it looked. I could keep adding more stuff I think I know when enough is enough. I think?!?
I used a variety of orange colored mums this year. I try to change it every year for a fresh new look. I also kept my ferns which were part of my summer porch treatment. I think they fit in nicely for now.
I had more pumpkins to use for this, that is until my little guy got a ahold of them and bribed me into cutting faces into them. I am such a sucker!
This is how it looked after I was happy with where everything was placed but I felt like it was still missing something. So I rummaged through my garage for an unknown item.
Low and behold, I found some shutters that I knew I was saving for something! I found these on the side of the road with a free sign on them a few months ago. I mean really, how could I resist.
There you have it! All natural Up-Cycled fall front porch. Cheap, Easy and looks great.
